BMW UK in Farnborough is offering a 13‑month Strategy placement starting July 2027. You will support the national sales and corporate strategy team with cross‑functional projects, KPI reporting, and organisation chart management.

The role targets a bachelor’s degree student with a commercial background, strong analytical skills, and an ability to influence and negotiate. This placement emphasizes teamwork, learning from mentors, and contributing to strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Studying for a bachelor’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Finance and Business, Business Management, Strategy
• Commercial background with some experience in a working environment
• Creative and analytical thinker and able to analyse facts and summarise.
• Able to solve problems in a logical way.
• Commercially focused with strong numerical, negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent report writing, communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong team player with ideally some researching/ consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Strategic cross-functional interactions across multiple disciplines in the business
• Analysis of business, market and industry-specific trends, utilising the conclusions from the analysis to identify business opportunities and risks
• Project Management support for the resulting strategic concepts (e.g. Brexit transition, EV strategy)
• Preparation of monthly KPI tracking and business reports
• Management and control of organisation charts

BMW UK, National Sales Company, Farnborough - Corporate Strategy - 13 Month Placement (July 2027)

We are looking for a student to join our Strategy team for 13 months starting July2027. This is a diverse and interesting role where you’ll provide support to the team in several activities and projects. The strategy team is responsible for the implementation of the key strategic initiatives of the company.

What will you be doing?

• Strategic cross-functional interactions across multiple disciplines in the business
• Analysis of business, market and industry-specific trends, utilising the conclusions from the analysisto identify business opportunities and risks.
• Project Management support for the resulting strategic concepts, e.g. previous interns have supported the business transition through Brexit and the market implementation of the BMW Group electric vehicle strategy.
• Preparation of monthly KPI tracking and business reports.
• Management and control of organisation charts.
