BMW Group in Farnborough is offering a placement year starting July 2027 for a project placement with BMW Financial Service. You will learn by doing, join the TNR project team, and receive responsibility from day one.

The role involves supporting project timelines, coordinating with UK, IE and Munich teams, and contributing to change management activities. You will develop skills in cross-functional collaboration, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication while gaining insight into luxury

Qualifications

• Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail, initiative and a can-do attitude are essential.

Responsabilités

• Assist the TNR project team and support project timelines across UK, IE and Munich.
• Collate risks and issues impacting roll-out and coordinate with Munich team.
• Relay local market input to the Munich project team for key requirements.
• Support cross-functional workstreams with Sales, Finance and Marketing.
• Contribute to change management activities including workshops and events.

Project Placement – Placement Year (July 2027)

BMW Financial Service, Farnborough.

This role will be specifically focused on ensuring the BMW Group remains at the forefront of our changing and highly dynamic industry, through supporting, developing, and implementing The New Retail (TNR) initiative to maximise market potential and ensure the highest quality of business for the BMW Group. Based in the UK headquarters in Farnborough you will be part of one of the largest and most exciting projects in BMW’s history and part of the wider transformation of the automotive industry.

What awaits you?

• Contributing to the Strategic direction of the BMW Groups business by working with the TNR project team.
• Supporting the The New Retail (TNR) project manager and team to manage project timelines with multiple business partners within the UK, IE and Munich.
• Collating and tracking the potential risks or issues that could affect the roll out of The New Retail Project.
• Co-ordinate and relaying local market input to the Munich project team for key business requirements to ensure that they meet the groups operational and strategic requirements.
• Monitoring progress of each of the local BMW Group workstreams (project areas) to ensure that progress toward the completion of the project is working in parallel with the Munich working groups.
• Co-ordination of key project meeting and communications.
• Opportunity to work with different areas of the business such as Sales, Finance and Marketing to support them with their project deliverables and broaden your experience of BMW and business in general.
• Support the delivery of the change management programme for internal employees and Retailers. This includes working on the development of workshops, training and other events, and the delivery of these activities

What should you bring along?

• Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
• Fully competent in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar are essential, as is a high level of attention to detail.
• A can-do attitude with the desire to go above and beyond.
• An ability to utilise initiative and present suggestions and justifications, solving problems as they arise.
• A creative personal flair with the ability to provide open-minded solutions within tasks.
