Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Corporate Solicitor (1+ PQE) to join its Cheltenham team, advising on high-quality mergers, acquisitions, disposals and investments for entrepreneurial businesses and owner-managed companies. You will handle share purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholders' agreements, with exposure to a demanding client base.

The role offers genuine ownership of matters, strong career development and clear progression within a growing Corporate & Commercial team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor status with at least 1 year's PQE in Corporate Law.

Responsibilities

Corporate Solicitor (1+ PQE) - Cheltenham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Solicitor to join a highly regarded commercial law firm with a strong reputation for advising entrepreneurial businesses, owner-managed companies, investors and high-net-worth individuals.

Working as part of a collaborative Corporate & Commercial team, you'll advise on a broad range of high-quality transactions while gaining exposure to an impressive client base and excellent career development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on mergers and acquisitions, business disposals, management buyouts, group reorganisations and employee ownership trusts.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of corporate documentation, including share purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholders' agreements.
• Supporting clients with company formations, corporate governance matters and ongoing compliance obligations.
• Managing due diligence exercises and coordinating transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser to businesses and stakeholders.
• Contributing to networking and business development initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

You’ll ideally have:

• Qualified Solicitor status with at least 1 year's PQE in Corporate Law.
• Experience advising on a range of corporate transactions.
• Strong technical knowledge of company law and transactional work.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• The confidence to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing deadlines.
