Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is working with a Top 50, Legal 500 Tier 1 Corporate team in Bristol to recruit a Senior Associate (6+ PQE) for a high-quality corporate practice.

The role offers direct access to Partners, exposure to a wide range of corporate matters, and a clear path toward leadership within the Bristol team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' post-qualification experience in Corporate law.
• M&A experience, ideally with PE and/or JV work.
• Experience managing client relationships and junior lawyers.
• Commercial approach and strong communication skills.
• Ready to take on responsibility and help grow the team.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of corporate matters including M&A and private equity.
• Lead and supervise junior lawyers and contribute to client relationships with Partners.
• Support corporate reorganisations, fundraising and investments, and high-growth client advisory.
• Work closely with Partners to develop the Bristol Corporate practice and leadership.

Looking for a Corporate role where you can work on genuinely high-quality transactions, have direct access to leading Partners and build towards a bigger leadership role?

I’m working with a Top 50, Legal 500 Tier 1 Corporate team in Bristol that is looking to hire a Senior Associate at 6+ PQE.

This is a firm with a strong reputation nationally, an excellent client base and a culture that places genuine emphasis on development, collaboration and work-life balance.

The role

You’ll join an established Corporate team advising an impressive mix of businesses, from large multinational and FTSE-listed organisations through to high-growth and entrepreneurial companies.

The work covers a broad range of Corporate matters, including:

• M&A
• Private equity
• Joint ventures
• Corporate reorganisations
• Fundraising and investments
• Public and private transactions
• Advising high-growth businesses and scale-ups

The role also offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within the team. You’ll work closely with Partners on key client relationships, supervise and develop junior lawyers and play an active role in the continued growth of the Bristol Corporate practice.

There is a genuine opportunity here for someone who wants to move towards a more senior leadership position over time.
