Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a professional Security Officer for a prestigious corporate building in Manchester’s Spinningfields. You will operate in a front-of-house capacity, manage access, patrol the site, and support CCTV control room duties.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, situational awareness, and maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for tenants, visitors and staff. Shift patterns include 4-on/4-off days and nights, with a client-focused, professional team.

Qualifications

• Proficient with basic IT (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and tenants in a polite, professional manner.
• Deliver a concierge-style service aligned with Client's expectations.
• Assist with visitor management.
• Maintain the reception area's presentation to agreed standards.
• Carry out internal and external patrols in line with assignment instructions.
• Control access and access to regresses through reception and security points.
• Monitor and manage access passes and maintain accurate records.
• Provide support in the Control Room (CCTV monitoring).
• Assist with Building Host duties, tenant engagement, and reception support.
• Conduct building-wide checks, including safety, maintenance and compliance checks.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and health & safety issues.
• Complete entries using the Digital Daily Occurrence Log (DOL).
• Always maintain professional presentation and high customer service standards.
• Car park management for visitors and tenants.
• Loading bay duties include dealing with collections. deliveries, tenants and contractors.
