Job summary

FRP Advisory Group in Manchester is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager/Associate Director to drive deal execution, manage workstreams and oversee junior staff. The role involves direct client exposure, origination activities, and cross-functional collaboration with Partners and Directors on live transactions.

The ideal candidate will have corporate finance experience, experience leading parts of transactions, and a strong commercial acumen to assess business value for investors or buyers.

Qualifications

• Good experience in a corporate finance environment.
• Experience leading parts of transactions from either a lead advisory or transaction services perspective.
• Experience with a range of transaction types, including corporate sales and Private Equity deal structuring.
• Commercial acumen to understand what contributes to a business's success and what makes it attractive to investors or buyers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of transactions and drive the transaction timetable through ownership of specific areas of the deal.
• General project management and day-to-day transaction leadership, directing junior members.
• Attend meetings with clients and lead discrete areas of work as required.
• Prepare and review business plans, information memoranda, and financial forecasts.
• Develop rapport with clients and design project plans to achieve ambitions.
• Identify potential deal issues and raise with senior team members.
• Coordinate research of potential buyers and engagement with buyers.
• Understand the commercial deal structure and funds flows and coordinate risk management procedures.
• Assist with business development and marketing activities.
• Lead on production of pitch documents, including valuations research and deal outputs.
• Take responsibility for agreed areas of origination and client acquisition.
