Corporate Finance (M&A) Associate (Newly Qualified Accountant)

Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Finance (M&A) Advisory division at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in London. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.

  • Are you a recently qualified ACA professional seeking a role with immediate responsibility in a global organization?
  • Do you have a strong academic background, meticulous attention to detail, and experience in presenting financial data to clients? If yes, then this role might be for you.

Note: The ideal candidate will have insurance-related finance training, including experience with insurance balance sheets.

As a key team member, your support will be vital in maintaining and enhancing Guy Carpenter's success in providing advisory and analytical services in Corporate Finance / M&A.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting the team with merger and acquisition transactions
  2. Assessing target performance, both standalone and comparative
  3. Presenting financial analysis to clients such as CEOs, CFOs, or Private Equity Partners
  4. Supporting the presentation of financial and commercial information for buy-side and sell-side transactions
  5. Conducting research and due diligence on potential targets
  6. Supporting business development through pitch and proposal documentation

Minimum requirements:

  • Newly ACA qualified with a strong academic record and experience at a reputable accountancy firm, with understanding of the non-life insurance sector
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and organize data effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working for one of the Big Four firms in the non-life insurance sector
