Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of Local Authority Land Charges.
  • Experience in managing a multi-discipline team.
  • Good working knowledge of ICT systems.

Job description

Corporate Database Manager

Permanent contract, 37 hours per week,

£37,938 - £41,511 per annum (Pay award pending)

Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils’ are looking for a Corporate Database Manager who will be responsible for the development, implementation, management and maintenance of both Councils’ Local Land and Property Gazetteer and Local Land Charge System for both Councils.The post holder will lead a team and be responsible for co-ordinating the updates for both Councils’ main address databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

The Corporate Database Manger will also need to interpret and implement any new Government legislation and ensure necessary procedures are in place for both Councils, as well as be responsible for the Malvern Hills and Wychavon Councils street signs and management of GIS data.

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • Have completed training in Land charges and address based information systems;
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience of Local Authority Land Charges;
  • Experience in managing a multi discipline team;
  • Have experience of, and a good working knowledge of ICT systems such as Outlook, Teams, Excel;
  • Have experience of working within a Local land and property Gazetteer, GIS and / or address databases;
  • Have access to a vehicle for site inspections and off-site meetings;
  • Be able to represent the Council at external Ordnance Survey meetings;
  • Have an open, friendly and helpful approach to all customers; and
  • Be innovative and have a proactive approach to recognising and solving problems.
