Lawes Consulting Group in Leeds is seeking an Account Handler (Corporate) to deliver exceptional client service and support to Client Executives. You will manage day-to-day servicing of corporate accounts and work closely with insurers to place and maintain cover.

Job title: Account Handler (Corporate)

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

Location: Leeds (Hybrid)

PURPOSE OF ROLE

As an Account Handler, you will provide exceptional service to clients and quality support to Client Executives in their Leeds office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working closely with the Client Executive on the day-to-day servicing of client accounts
• Applying insurance knowledge and principles to day-to-day work queries, including standard policy wording, extensions and limitations
• Maintaining a general understanding of underwriting, claims and broking processes, and awareness of the different distribution channels
• Acting as a point of reference with insurers and handling negotiations
• Working collaboratively with the team to write, renew and service clients through the full end-to-end broking process
• Using client applications accurately and as defined by the business, including invoicing and maintaining data quality
• Spotting opportunities to meet client needs with other services and products, and passing these to internal colleagues
• Building positive working relationships with internal colleagues and teams
• Always working to the business's operational standards, policies and processes
• Applying the business's client journey and service approach, and demonstrating its values in your behaviour with all stakeholders
• Maintaining your own learning and CPD

DAY-TO-DAY

• Supporting Client Executives with the servicing of corporate client accounts
• Dealing with insurers and supporting negotiations on behalf of clients
• Keeping client records, invoicing and data accurate on the client system
• Working as part of a collaborative team across the broking process, from placing business through to renewal
• Looking for ways to add value for clients through additional services and products

EXPERIENCE

• Cert CII qualified or working towards it
• Sound technical knowledge of the insurance industry, with solid grounding in commercial insurance
• Working knowledge of broking processes and regulatory standards, including up-to-date knowledge of FCA compliance rules
• Competent user of insurance client systems; Acturis is an advantage

SKILLS

• Excellent communication, administration and decision-making skills
• Able to organise workflow, prioritise tasks and manage your own time
• Confident using the Microsoft suite
• Engages with team members to achieve better customer outcomes and encourages an inclusive culture
• Ensures stakeholders have the information and tools to make capable, confident decisions
