Responsibilities

• Own servicing of complex commercial risk portfolios end-to-end.
• Collaborate with Client Managers and Directors to shape service plans and proposals.
• Handle renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments; negotiate terms with insurers.
• Produce marketing and client materials detailing risk profiles, proposals and placement strategies.
• Review and enhance client programmes to grow the portfolio.
• Build relationships with clients and insurers while maintaining compliance.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Our client, a leading global insurance broking and professional services firm, is looking for a Client Service Specialist (Commercial Handler) to join their team, based out of their first-class Leeds South Central office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Taking ownership of servicing complex commercial risk portfolios end-to-end, delivering tailored outcomes for clients
• Working closely with Client Managers and Directors to understand client needs and help shape service plans, presentations and strategic recommendations
• Handling renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments, negotiating with insurers to secure the best available terms
• Producing clear, compelling marketing and client materials that set out risk profiles, proposals and placement strategies
• Continuously reviewing and enhancing client programmes, identifying opportunities to improve coverage and grow the portfolio
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers, upholding compliance standards and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team

DAY-TO-DAY

• Genuinely shape how clients manage risk, rather than simply arranging cover
• Work closely with senior stakeholders at national and multinational organisations
• Draw on the backing of a collaborative team and specialist resources
• Have real scope to make an impact while continuing to build your technical expertise and reputation in the market

EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrable experience in commercial insurance broking and client relationship management
• A strong network and solid reputation with key insurers
• A track record of handling large, complex insurance risks
