Job summary

Peel Hall Primary School is seeking a Cook Supervisor to prepare and serve healthy meals for pupils and staff, while upholding high hygiene and cleanliness standards and creating a welcoming lunchtime experience.

The role is 30 hours per week during term time, with a supportive team and opportunities for professional growth. Applicants should be positive, team-oriented and committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and under supervision.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for pupils and staff.

Position: Cook Supervisor

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only

The Governors, Head Teacher and Team Peel are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Cook Supervisor to join our dynamic school. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, nutritious and appealing meals for our pupils and staff. You will take pride in maintaining high standards of food preparation, hygiene and cleanliness, while creating a welcoming and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our children.

You will have understanding of nutritional and dietary requirements, monitoring stock levels and minimising food waste and planning executing menus in line with government standards.
