Job summary

Royton Hall Primary School in Oldham is inviting applications for a Cook Supervisor to lead our Kitchen Team. The role is 35 hours per week, term time plus 2 days, with a salary of £23,751–£25,764 per annum (Grade 4) and a focus on nutritious meals and school food standards.

The successful candidate will manage the kitchen, maintain high hygiene and health & safety, and work with staff to deliver meals for pupils and staff. DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school or institutional kitchen is desirable.
• Ability to follow School Food Standards and maintain high levels of hygiene.
• Capable of leading a busy kitchen and managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school kitchen team.
• Prepare and supervise nutritious meals for pupils and staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas.
• Be physically fit to fulfil the role.

Hours: 35 per week, Term time plus 2 days

Royton Hall Primary school is looking to appoint an experienced Cook Supervisor to lead our friendly Kitchen Team.

The successful candidate will;

• Be passionate about providing nutritious and appealing meals to our children and staff.
• Be able to follow School Food Standards requirements and have high levels of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
• Be organised, reliable and hardworking and be able to manage the demands of a busy school kitchen.
• Be approachable and able to manage a team.
• They will also need to be physically fit to be able to fulfil this physically demanding role.
