Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Cook to join the catering team at Staveley Health Centre. You will prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals, ensuring they meet dietary requirements and are presented to a high standard.

You will work closely with clinical and catering colleagues, upholding food hygiene and temperature controls, while providing a link between catering services and the clinical area to ensure patients receive the right meal at the right time.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or catering environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and special diets is desirable.
• Ability to work to high hygiene standards and temperature controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals to patients in line with dietary needs.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety throughout food preparation and service.
• Collaborate with clinical and catering staff to plan menus and ensure meals are delivered on time.
