Job summary

The Foresters Nursing Home is seeking a Cook/Chef to prepare wholesome, appetising meals for residents in a caring, home-like environment. Location: Walton Pool Lane, Clent, Stourbridge. Pay £13.00 per hour, full-time role with induction, mandatory training and ongoing development.

You will follow rotating menus, cater for dietary needs, maintain food safety records, and work with the care team to ensure meals meet high safety and quality standards. On-site parking available.

Clarendon Care Services Ltd is looking for a caring, reliable cook to join our friendly team and take pride in food that makes a difference.

YOUR ROLE

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Full-time

Location: Walton Pool Lane, Clent, Stourbridge, DY9 9RP.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare wholesome, appetisable meals from fresh ingredients, following the home's rotating menus.
• Bake cakes, biscuits and desserts that bring enjoyment and variety to residents' days.
• Cater for individual dietary needs, allergies, cultural preferences and prescribed texture-modified diets, working with the care team.
• Keep food safety records, temperature checks and cleaning schedules up to date.
• Organise stock, minimise waste and support kitchen assistants in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe and well organised.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Experience preparing meals in a professional kitchen.
• An understanding of safe food handling, allergen management and catering for different dietary requirements.
• Good organisation, teamwork and communication skills.
• A friendly, compassionate approach and pride in serving older people well.

Care-home experience is welcome but not essential. We'll support you with induction, mandatory training and ongoing development.
