Quest Employment in Banbury is seeking a reliable Cook / Basic Chef to join a busy café on a temporary 4-week basis. You will prepare and serve light lunches, keeping the kitchen clean and compliant with food hygiene.
This role offers fixed hours with Wednesday–Saturday 8:30am–4:00pm and Sunday 9:00am–3:00pm, immediate start, and the opportunity to gain cafe kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for preparing and serving a selection of light lunches, ensuring food is prepared to a high standard and the kitchen is kept clean, organised and compliant with food hygiene requirements.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous café, kitchen or catering experience who is looking for temporary work with consistent, fixed hours.
Wednesday–Saturday:
8:30am–4:00pm
Sunday:
9:00am–3:00pm
Fixed shifts – must be available for all scheduled hours
Preparing and cooking light lunch options
Following recipes and portion requirements
Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a good standard
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
Keeping the kitchen and preparation areas clean and organised
Monitoring food stock and reporting any shortages
Supporting the smooth running of the café during busy periods
Following all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
Previous experience as a Cook, Chef, Kitchen Assistant or similar is preferred
Comfortable preparing simple, fresh food in a busy café environment
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Positive attitude and good customer-focused approach
Must be available for the full 4-week assignment and fixed shift pattern
