Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) in Cardiff is seeking an experienced cook for a temporary role. You will prepare and cook a range of hot and cold foods, upholding strict food safety, hygiene and customer service standards.

Shifts are afternoons, 12:00–20:00 or 15:00–01:00, for one month with possible extension. Competitive hourly pay rates are offered, with ASAP start and weekly PAYE payments.

Qualifications

• Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Manpower can support with this).
• A minimum of 2 years catering/cooking experience.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a range of hot and cold food items to agreed standards.
• Ensure food quality, presentation and portion control requirements are consistently met.
• Support daily food production to meet service requirements.
• Follow recipes, production schedules and food safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within food preparation areas.
• Monitor food temperatures and complete required food safety records.
• Assist with stock rotation, stock control and the safe storage of deliveries.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Infection Prevention procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure an efficient catering service.

Location: Heath, Cardiff
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary, one month with possible extension
Pay Rates:

• £13.45 per hour (Weekdays)
• £17.91 per hour (Saturdays)
• £23.24 per hour (Sundays & Bank Holidays)

Working Pattern Afternoon shifts, 12 noon -8 pm (8 hour shift) or 3 pm until 1am (10 hour shift)

The Role
