Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a part-time Cook for Ribble View in Preston. You will prepare, cook and serve meals, ensuring nutritious options for varied dietary needs and maintaining high hygiene standards.

You'll develop menus with input from residents and work closely with the Catering Team to deliver a positive dining experience and great teamwork in a care home setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in a care/home setting preferred.
• Ability to create delicious, nutritious meals for varied dietary needs.
• Strong teamwork and communication to support colleagues and residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals for residents.
• Develop suitable menus by understanding residents’ needs and preferences.
• Interact with residents to gather feedback on meals.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and maintain records.
• Complete relevant checks and maintain accurate records.
• Be a proactive, collaborative member of the Catering Team.

Location: Preston, PR1 4UD
Contract type: 30 hours per week. 3 x 10 hour shifts, 8am - 6pm, weekend availability required.
Rate: £13.27 per hour

Are you an experienced Cook looking for a new challenge? Join us as our new Cook at Roseside care home in Liverpool.

In this role, you’ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support in our care home.

Meal times are an important part of our daily routine, even more so for those living in care homes.

In this role, you’ll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction and build a sense of community.

Our Cooks make delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• preparing, cooking and serving food
• understanding people’s needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menus
• interacting with the people we support to get feedback on meals
• complying with food hygiene standards
• completing relevant checks and maintaining records
• beinga great team player, working as part of the wider Catering Team.
