Job summary

Exemplar Health Care's Lakeview care home in Leigh, Wigan, is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents. You will work 40 hours per week, 8am–6pm, at £13.27 per hour, helping create positive dining experiences and tailored menus for varied dietary needs.

You’ll join a supportive Catering Team, receive induction and ongoing training, and help maintain high hygiene standards while building a sense of community around mealtimes.

Qualifications

• Must have food hygiene certificate and catering qualification (not always essential).
• Ability to develop suitable menus for varied dietary needs and to adapt to residents’ preferences.
• Strong teamwork, communication and flexibility in a care home environment.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Cook looking for a new challenge? Join us as our new Cook at Lakeview care home in Wigan.

In this role, you’ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support in our care home.

Meal times are an important part of our daily routine, even moreseo for those living in care homes.

In this role, you’ll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction and build a sense of community.
