Job summary

Leicestershire County Council in Hinckley and Bosworth is seeking a cook/barista to join the team at Tithe Barn. You will prepare and serve beverages, assist with food prep, maintain hygiene standards and deliver excellent customer service.

Salary: £25,629 - £25,824 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Working Hours:37 hours to include weekends, bank holidays

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable cook / barista to join our team at Tithe Barn.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, assist with food preparation, maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, and ensure exceptional customer service at all times. You will also support stock control, cash handling, menu planning, and the day-to-day operation of the catering service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience. Previous barista, catering, or hospitality experience would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be provided.

This role requires flexibility, with shifts worked on a rota basis covering 5 out of 7, including weekends, Bank Holidays, and occasional work outside normal operating hours. You may also be required to provide support across other LTS Catering operations when needed.
