Job summary

Exemplar Health Care in Kings Heath, Birmingham, is seeking an experienced Cook for Maypole Grove care home. You will prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents with diverse dietary needs to ensure a positive dining experience.

You will develop menus, maintain food hygiene standards and collaborate with the catering team to support residents’ health and enjoyment. Induction and ongoing training will be provided.

Are you an experienced Cook looking for a new challenge? Join us as our new Cook at Maypole Grovecare home in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

In this role, you'll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support.

You'll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction andbuild a sense of community.

About the role

Our Cooks make delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• preparing, cooking and serving food
• understanding people’s needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menus
• interacting with the people we support to get feedback on meals
• complying with food hygiene standards
• completing relevant checksand maintaining records
• being a great team player, working as part of the wider Catering Team.

If you haven't worked in the care sector before, we'll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy, and ongoing training programmes.
