Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd is seeking a talented and compassionate Cook to join the team at Victoria Lodge Care Home in Dudley. This part-time role offers daytime shifts only (28 hours), with no late nights or split shifts, and the opportunity to prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support residents’ wellbeing and happiness.

You will cater for dietary needs, maintain hygiene standards, manage stock, and engage with residents to enhance their dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous chef experience in a care or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of dietary need adaptations (soft diets, allergies, diabetes).
• Understanding of hygiene and kitchen safety practices.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous Chef experience

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
• Understanding of dietary needs (care setting experience is a plus)
• Reliable, caring, and team-focused attitude
