Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm

Location: Acorn Park School, Norwich

About the role

To support the Cook Manager on a day-to-day basis and, in their absence, be responsible for managing the catering services at Acorn Park School.

Maintain high standards of practice and hygiene in all aspects of food preparation, contributing to the quality of care for students.

General Responsibilities:

• Help prepare and cook main, vegetarian, desserts, cakes, salads, and various diets for two refectories on a rota system.
• Complete food, snack, cooking, and picnic orders.
• Check off and store deliveries.
• Serve food, wash up, and clean refectories.
• Perform cleaning tasks daily, weekly, and monthly.

Acorn Park School caters to 160 pupils, primarily with Autism, offering formal and semi-formal pathways, with a mix of day and residential pupils on a large rural site in Norfolk. Facilities include a Forest School, Animal Care Farm, sports hall, and sensory rooms.
