Cook Manager – Harford Manor

Salary: £24,376.56 Pro Rata

Join the team at Norse Catering and help make a difference to the lives of young people by delivering healthy, nutritious, and balanced meals at Harford Manor School. We offer fully funded accredited courses, excellent career progression, and job satisfaction from giving back to your community and improving lives.

The opportunity:
  1. 7.30am - 2pm, Monday to Friday
  2. Temporary position
  3. 32.5 hours per week

This is a term-time only position, working 38 weeks per year, offering a great work-life balance. Your pay will be pro rata, with 1/12th of your salary paid monthly, regardless of school holidays.

A day in the life:

You will manage the kitchen team, prepare, cook, and serve lunches for students and staff, ensuring an engaging dining experience. Support will be provided for food safety, health and safety, and allergen management, along with menu planning and promotional materials. An electronic tablet will assist with kitchen management and communication, minimizing paperwork.

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment, organizational skills, understanding of food industry costs, and working within a set budget are essential. A passion for customer service and strong communication skills are also required. We value support for others and shared core values:
