Job summary

Manpower UK Limited is seeking reliable Catering Assistants for a busy food service operation in the UK. The role involves working as part of a team to deliver high standards of service, food hygiene, and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts are scheduled across 6:00am–8:00pm, with 16–37.5 hours per week and a temporary contract. Weekly PAYE pay and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years catering experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible with shifts and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and service of meals and beverages.
• Ensure food is presented and served to required standards.
• Maintain cleanliness across catering and service areas.
• Wash and sanitise equipment and workspaces.
• Support stock control and replenishment as required.
• Follow all food hygiene and health and safety policies.

Pay Rates

• £13.45 per hour (Weekdays)
• £17.91 per hour (Saturdays)
• £23.24 per hour (Sundays & Bank Holidays)

Working Pattern

• 5 days out of 7
• Shifts between 6:00am and 8:00pm
• 16 hours per week
• 24 hours per week
• 30 hours per week
• 37.5 hours per week

The Role

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Catering Assistants to join a busy food service operation.

This role would suit candidates who enjoy working as part of a team, can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to maintaining high standards of customer service, food safety, and cleanliness.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of meals and beverages.
• Ensure food is presented and served to the required standards.
• Support the delivery of catering services to customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout catering and food service areas.
• Wash and sanitise catering equipment, utensils and food preparation areas.
• Replenish food, beverages and consumables as required.
• Assist with stock control, stock rotation and the storage of deliveries.
• Comply with all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Infection Prevention policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain accurate records where required.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties associated with the catering service.
• Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Manpower can support with this)
• A minimum of 2 years catering experience.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
