Planet Laser Ltd is a Bury St Edmunds based laser tag arena with arcade and on-site cafe. We cater food and drinks including an alcohol license and party food.

Role Description

The position is for on-site Cook located in Bury St Edmunds. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking the offerings from our menu and creating party food, adhering to standards, ensuring food quality and presentation, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and managing food inventory. The Cook will also work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service. The role will also include stock management, ordering and completion of relevant kitchen cleaning and documentation.

28-35 hours per week with additional hours available throughout school holidays.

Our working hours are:

Wed-Fri evenings from 3pm

Open every day throughout school holidays

Qualifications

  • Strong cooking and food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of a busy kitchen environment
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen is a plus
  • Relevant culinary education or certification is advantageous but not required
