Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal in Chelmsford/Leigh-on-Sea to join a friendly, growing law firm. This role supports the Residential Property department, handling a varied caseload and ensuring transactions progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.

With at least two years' experience in residential conveyancing, you will be highly organised, proactive and able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in Residential Property Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant roles.
• Solid understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
• Experience supporting fee earners with a busy caseload.
• Knowledge of AML requirements and client onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for clients and third parties in residential property transactions.
• Process new client onboarding documentation.
• Carry out identity verification and AML checks.
• Review proof of funds and source of funds documentation.
• Progress new instructions through early stages of transactions.
• Support new build conveyancing matters.
• Order and review property searches and prepare completion statements.
• Assist with exchange and completion processes.
• Maintain accurate case records and files.
• Work with multiple fee earners to progress cases.
