Job summary

FQPS Academy Ltd. in Norwich is seeking an outgoing Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our close-knit team. You will work 1:1 with a Solicitor, handling live files from instruction through post-completion and acting as the first point of contact on the office line.

This role requires at least 1 year of hands-on residential conveyancing experience, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year’s hands-on experience within a residential conveyancing department (pre-instruction to post-completion).
• Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple files.
• Strong communication and client-service skills in a busy conveyancing practice.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 Solicitor support: manage, progress, and execute a varied residential conveyancing caseload with your designated Solicitor.
• Client & Third-Party interaction: act as a key contact for clients, agents, lenders, and third parties.
• First line of contact: handle incoming mainline calls in a professional manner.
• File management & documentation: prepare packs, request searches, progress enquiries, and draft reports.
• Administrative & systems control: maintain case management and ledger systems and uphold compliance.

The Role

We are looking for an outgoing, motivated, and eager-to-learn Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our close-knit team. Working 1:1 with a Solicitor, you will be the engine room of your dedicated pod, running live files alongside your Solicitor from initial instruction through to post-completion, while also acting as a friendly, confident voice on our main office telephone line for incoming client calls.

Key Responsibilities

• 1:1 Solicitor Support: Work side-by-side on a 1:1 basis with your designated Solicitor to manage, progress, and execute a varied residential conveyancing caseload.

• Client & Third-Party Interaction: Act as a key contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties, delivering exceptional service and clear updates.

• First Line of Contact: Handle incoming mainline phone calls for the firm in an outgoing, professional, and helpful manner.

• File Management & Documentation: Prepare contract packs for sales, request pre-assignment packs/mortgage redemption statements, order property and Land Registry searches, progress enquiries, and draft reports.

• Administrative & Systems Control: Manage post, update case management/ledger systems, and maintain strict compliance and company policy standards.
