We are supporting a well-known Law Firm near Maidenhead in finding an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their team.

The role is flexible and offered as:

  • Full time 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
  • School hours/Part Time hours 9am to 3pm - Monday to Friday
  • 3 or 4 full days per week - 9am to 5.30pm

This position requires a Secretary with Conveyancing Experience.

Excellent keyboard skills and strong administrative abilities are essential for:

  • Drafting straightforward legal documents, setting up new files accurately and swiftly on instructions from fee earners, and managing emails, scanning, and copying documents and correspondence as directed by the lawyers.
  • Attending to clients both on the telephone and in person, taking and recording messages accurately, and passing them to the appropriate person promptly.
  • Making appointments, arranging meetings, maintaining an up-to-date diary, and supporting other team members as needed.
  • Assisting with processing straightforward re-mortgages and transfers of equity, working independently but with support from the relevant lawyer.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.
  • Keeping up to date with archiving, housekeeping, and billing tasks.
  • Preparing documents, mortgage deeds, and Land Registry searches through the firm’s case management system.
  • Ensuring Certificates of Title are issued in accordance with Rule 6 of the CML Lenders Handbook under supervision of the lawyer.
  • Ensuring that completions occur on the prescribed day and liaising with clients regarding keys and possessions.
