Job summary

Legal News Wales seeks an experienced Conveyancing Lead to join and grow our Swansea office. You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload while steering the team’s development and performance to deliver excellent client service.

The role requires 4+ years PQE in residential conveyancing, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to business development to build relationships with local agents, brokers and clients, supporting growth across the department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer.
• Minimum 4 years’ PQE within Residential Conveyancing.
• Experience leading a conveyancing team/department.
• Strong knowledge of residential property transactions (freehold/leasehold, new build, transfers of equity, shared ownership, remortgages).

Responsibilities

• Manage your own residential conveyancing caseload.
• Lead and develop the Swansea conveyancing team.
• Build relationships with estate agents, brokers and contacts to generate opportunities.
• Support business development and marketing to raise the firm's presence locally.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with senior leadership.
• Drive performance, efficiency and growth with the Head of Residential Conveyancing and MD.

• Salary: £55,000 + Performance-Based Bonus
• Location: Swansea (Office-Based with Hybrid Flexibility)
• Working Pattern: 4 days office / 1 day home

TSR Legal are delighted to be supporting a forward-thinking and ambitious law firm in their search for an experienced Conveyancing Lead to join and grow their Swansea office.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer who is looking to take ownership of a team, play a key role in the growth of a department, and make a real impact within a progressive firm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own residential conveyancing caseload, developing new business opportunities, supporting junior team members, and working closely with senior leadership to implement growth strategies across the business.

The Role

• Manage and develop your own residential conveyancing caseload
• Lead and support the growth of the Swansea conveyancing team
• Build strong relationships with local estate agents, brokers and professional contacts to generate new opportunities
• Support business development and marketing initiatives to increase the firm’s presence within the local market
• Mentor and develop junior members of the team
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Residential Conveyancing and Managing Director to drive performance, efficiency and continued growth

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer
• Minimum 4 years’ PQE within Residential Conveyancing
• Previous experience managing or leading a conveyancing team/department
• Strong technical knowledge across residential property transactions, including:
• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• New build matters
• Transfers of equity
• Shared ownership/shared equity
• Remortgages
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and deliver excellent client service
• Commercially minded with a passion for business development and building relationships
• Confident communicator with strong leadership skills
