Job summary

SJC Partners Limited in Morley seeks an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to manage residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion. You will handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience independently managing a residential conveyancing caseload (from instruction to completion).
• Strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing from instruction through to completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Deal with remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Review title documents, contracts, searches and enquiries.
• Draft and review legal documentation.
• Prepare title and mortgage reports.
• Deal with exchanges and completions.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
• Provide regular updates to clients and ensure transactions progress smoothly.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-standard service.

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum, dependent on experience

I am currently working with a well-established Yorkshire law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join its Morley office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing their own residential conveyancing matters, building strong client relationships and being part of an experienced property team.

The firm is looking for someone who can confidently handle their own caseload while maintaining excellent standards of client care.

What will you be doing?

• Managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Dealing with remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Reviewing title documents, contracts, searches and enquiries.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documentation.
• Preparing reports on title and mortgage reports.
• Dealing with exchanges and completions.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
• Providing regular updates to clients and ensuring transactions progress efficiently.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience independently managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
• Applications welcomed from Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers, Chartered Legal Executives and experienced Conveyancing Fee Earners.
• Strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Confidence handling transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive and professional approach to work.
