Job summary

Brindley Twist Tafft & James LLP in Coventry is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our busy Conveyancing Department on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years PQE, a track record handling residential conveyancing transactions from inception to completion, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of fee-earning files with minimal supervision from Head of Department.
• Handle sales and purchase transactions from first instruction to post-completion filing (SDLT) and Land Registry registration.
• Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct, CQS standards and Conveyancing Protocols.
• Understand Money Laundering, Mortgage Fraud, Cyber Crime risks in conveyancing.
• Undertake all aspects of residential conveyancing fee-earning work.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner; to join our busy Conveyancing Departmen t on a permanent basis.

It is essential that you have previous experience in a fast-paced Conveyancing department and would suit someone with 2- 4 years PQE

Due to our head office location , it is preferable for candidates to hold a full UK Driving Licence and have their own transport.

Previous experience as a Conveyancing Fee Earner is essential as we are looking for someone who can "hit the ground running" from day one, although full training will be given on our internal systems and procedures.

Main responsibilities:

To be responsible for day to day running of fee earning files with minimum supervision from your Head of Department ensuring compliance with internal procedures and SRA guidelines.

Deal with all aspects of sales and purchase transactions from first instructions to post completion filing of SDLT return at HMRC and registration of title at Land Registry;

Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct and the CQS standard and Conveyancing Protocol & Core Practice Management Standards.

Understanding of Money Laundering, Mortgage Fraud, Cyber Crime and the risks facing the conveyancing profession

Ability to undertake all aspects of Residential Conveyancing fee earning work.
