The Role

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to the Conveyancing Team, enabling lawyers to focus on technical and complex matters. Responsibilities will include:

Drafting straightforward legal documents (with appropriate guidance)

Preparing files for billing and completion

Opening and managing case files

Ordering searches and Land Registry documents

Screening and directing incoming calls

Sorting and prioritising incoming mail, emails, and messages

Providing friendly and professional client service

Ensuring compliance with LEXCEL standards and Solicitors Accounts Rules

Assisting with reception cover as required

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working in a legal environment (ideally in conveyancing)

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Be proactive, organised, and able to work at pace

Have strong attention to detail and administrative skills

Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in approach

Be comfortable using Microsoft Office and case management systems

Ideally have experience working in a busy conveyancing team, although this is not essential
