Job summary

Clear IT Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join a busy Ipswich-based Property team in Suffolk. You will manage a varied conveyancing caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales, transfers of equity and remortgages, liaising with clients and lenders, and providing practical legal guidance throughout transactions.

The role offers hybrid working (2–3 days from home), generous annual leave, pension, healthcare cashback, Cycle to Work and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancer.
• Experience independently managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
• Strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Well organized with ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice throughout transactions.
• Support growth of the department through excellent client service.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own residential conveyancing caseload, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Transfers of equity
• Remortgages
• New build transactions
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
• Providing clear, practical legal advice throughout the transaction
• Managing matters from instruction through to completion
• Maintaining high standards of client care and regulatory compliance
• Supporting the continued growth of the department through excellent client service

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancer
• Previous experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
• Strong knowledge of both freehold and leasehold transactions
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple matters
• Proactive and commercially minded approach
• Experience using case management systems would be advantageous
