Job summary

Bell Cornwall Recruitment is seeking a Licensed Conveyancer to join a well established high street law firm in Birmingham. The role involves managing a busy caseload of residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ PQE in residential conveyancing, strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold work, and will supervise a small team of two Conveyancers to ensure efficient progress and excellent client service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing
• Strong understanding of end-to-end property transaction process
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients
• Experience supervising a small conveyancing team (2 staff)

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential and commercial property transactions from instruction to completion
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases ensuring timely progress
• Deal with remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions and related matters
• Supervise two Conveyancers to maintain high service standards

Bell Cornwall Recruitment are searching for a Licensed Conveyancer to join a well established high street law firm. The role will also involve supervising their team of 2 Conveyancers.

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, remortgages and lease extensions.


• Commercial property experience would be highly desirable, particularly acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences and refinancing.


• 5+ year's post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end transaction process.


• Strong client-management skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients who may have limited legal knowledge.

The role

• Manage a full and varied caseload of residential and commercial property transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.


• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and in accordance with client requirements.


• Deal with remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions and other residential property matters.


• Supervision of 2 Conveyancers
