Job summary

Albireo Energy is seeking a Controls Engineer Intern to support software design, project programming, and standard implementation for controls projects. The role focuses on HVAC sequences, on-site and remote support, and collaboration with software engineers in the Greater Boston Area.

The internship requires an engineering degree and familiarity with BACnet networks, Siemens TIA, and Tridium Niagara. Strong computer skills and willingness to travel for commissioning are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with building automation or PLC programming is ideal.
• Familiarity with BACnet networks and software tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs, drawings, and documents to understand intent.
• Assist in programming HVAC/utilities sequence and commissioning.
• Configure and troubleshoot networks (IP/RS-485) and alarms.
• Support startup/commissioning of large systems and on-site work.
