Job summary

Cressida Consulting is recruiting for a Controls Engineer - Automation in the UK. The role involves owning projects from concept through to commissioning with hybrid working (up to 3 days from home) and a typical travel profile for planned commissioning.

You will work as part of a close-knit engineering team on PLC software development, FAT/SAT, and ongoing software support across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience programming PLC-based control systems and seeing projects through from development to commissioning.
• Proven ability to develop and test PLC/HMI software for automated systems.
• Familiarity with project lifecycle activities from concept to customer handover.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC and HMI software (Siemens TIA Portal primarily, some Allen-Bradley).
• Create Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
• Lead FAT and SAT activities and UK commissioning.
• Provide remote support and troubleshoot with customers.
