Qualifications

• Experience in controls engineering within automated manufacturing.
• Leading/control-system projects using Siemens 840D, Step 7, and related tools.
• Knowledge of Sinamics drive systems and industrial automation tech.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; teamwork oriented.
• NVQ Level 3 / indentured apprenticeship in engineering/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee new launch programmes from a controls/engineering perspective.
• Build technical capability within the wider team.
• Support PTME Controls on new/existing projects, ensuring standards.
• Develop and deliver training plans for Manufacturing Operations and vendor teams.
• Provide expert technical support to production and maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with OEMs to ensure PTME Controls Standards compliance.
• Design and maintain plant process control data networks.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
