Job summary

Santander UK is recruiting a Controls Testing Risk Assurance Consultant to join the Central Controls Office. Based at Milton Keynes, Bradford or Glasgow, this fixed-term 12-month contract offers a hybrid working pattern and the chance to help strengthen line 1 controls testing across the organisation.

You will execute controls assurance, engage with Control Owners, Operators and Risk Partners, evaluate control design and evidence, and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels, backed by

Qualifications

• Experience assessing control design and operating effectiveness.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills with ability to identify patterns and control weaknesses.
• Good ability to evaluate evidence for completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Execute Line 1 controls assurance, assessing Design Adequacy and Performance Effectiveness of material controls.
• Engage with Control Owners, Operators, Risk Partners and Internal Audit colleagues.
• Understand risks mitigated by controls and collate supporting evidence from owners.
• Communicate controls assurance outcomes and findings to stakeholders.
• Highlight weak-rated controls and monitor remediation actions.
• Perform desktop reviews for remediated controls and provide feedback.
