Grant Thornton UK’s Finance Consulting / CFO Solutions practice seeks an exceptional Assistant Manager to scale controllership transformation and close automation. You’ll work with senior finance leaders across sectors to re-engineer processes and deploy automation, growing into leadership roles while shaping the offering.

You will engage in diagnostic work, build strong client relationships, and contribute to practice development, budgeting, and timelines on engagements.

Qualifications

Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience
Genuine interest in finance transformation and technology's role in close processes
Confidence engaging with senior finance stakeholders and managing expectations

Responsibilities

Lead workstreams within controllership and close transformation engagements
Diagnose current-state close processes, identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities
Design improved close calendars, reconciliation frameworks and workflows
Support technology implementations across FloQast, OneStream, Prophix, BlackLine
