Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Qualified Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing, CD management, and staff training at the John Radcliffe Pharmacy. You will work within the Pharmacy Operational team, contributing to training updates and ensuring accurate CD databases.

The role requires strong IT, teamwork, and attention to detail with a 37.5-hour week, occasional weekend rotas, and a commitment to quality improvements in a busy hospital dispensary.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC.
• NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in dispensing/ dispensary services and Controlled Drugs management.
• Knowledge of Controlled Drug Regulations and NICE guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular dispensing/checking duties as directed by senior staff.
• Assist and plan training, including CD inductions and updating training materials.
• Take team-lead responsibilities within the dispensary as needed.
• Maintain and coordinate rotas for Controlled Drug returns.
