Experienced Control Systems Engineer who is driven and self-motivated urgently required to join a skilled engineering team within a business at the forefront of innovative Marine Engineering. Working on both current and future projects as they continue to expand, you will take ownership of marine control solutions from concept through to commissioning.

Control Systems Engineer - Beckhoff

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 + Pension, Life Insurance, Healthcare

Control Systems Engineer - The Role:

1. Control systems design & implementation of large marine systems
2. Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel specific system variants
3. Work with ATEX rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments
4. Utilize Beckhoff with Structured Text
5. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate control systems into cutting-edge marine technology solutions
6. Provide guidance and support throughout the project life cycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout

Control Systems Engineer - The Person:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
2. Experience of marine or machinery based industrial control systems
3. Understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector is hugely beneficial but not essential
4. Experience in ATEX/IEC-Ex rated installations is desired
5. Proficiency with Beckhoff is desired
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
7. Must be experienced taking projects through their entire life cycle including commissioning and documentation

You will join a business keen to succeed with a focus on providing a supportive environment for all employees. Located on the South Coast, this role would be commutable from Portsmouth, Fareham, Port Solent, and Southampton.
