Salary: £52,000 - £58,000 per annum (including shift pay, dependent on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to support power generation assets across the UK. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems in power plants, ensuring safety and environmental compliance. This is a remote role with extensive UK travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop expertise in control systems including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIs.
• Identify failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system performance and issues.
• Support troubleshooting and collaborate with technical teams.
• Design, modify, and support control systems and panels.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
• Stay updated on control system technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of control systems, PLC programming, and networking.
• Experience in designing control layouts and wiring schematics.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (GE, Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred).
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and understanding of field equipment.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Valid UK driving license.

Working Conditions & Requirements:

• Remote work with UK travel to power plants.
• Physical activity including climbing and lifting.
• Use of safety equipment and participation in fitness programs.
• Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours/week, with overtime opportunities.
