Job summary

Automation Experts in the West Midlands is seeking a Control Systems Design Engineer to design and develop PLC software for automated machinery using Beckhoff, B&R or Siemens platforms.

You will produce technical documentation, plan projects to ensure on-time delivery within budget, and support development from concept through commissioning. Occasional site work may be required; a competitive salary, annual bonus, pension and 25 days holiday are offered.

The Role:

• Designing and developing PLC software for automated machinery projects using Beckhoff, B&R or Siemens platforms
• Producing detailed technical documentation and project records
• Planning and managing projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget
• Supporting machine development from concept through to commissioning
• Introducing new technologies and innovative engineering solutions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality automation systems
• Supporting continuous improvement and product development initiatives
