Job summary
National Gas is recruiting for a Control System Project Support Technician at St Fergus Terminal. The role focuses on developing isolations, supporting installation, and providing on-site technical guidance to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.
You will oversee commissioning activities, maintain records, and support safe integration of new control assets into the gas transmission network. A hands-on engineer with relevant discipline experience is ideal.
Qualifications
- Proven maintenance and operational knowledge in electrical/instrumentation/control systems.
- Experience inspecting equipment in hazardous areas.
- Understanding of Safe Systems of Work and safety regulations.
- Relevant training certification or demonstrated competencies.
- Valid driving licence and hands-on engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop isolations per Safe Control of Operations procedures to ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate site records of all work activities and operations.
- Support construction and commissioning of assets on the gas transmission system.
- Identify replacement or upgrade needs and assist in minor design modifications.
- Oversee contractor activities to maintain safety and technical standards.
