Job summary

IES Utilities Group is seeking a on-site Quantity Surveyor (or SQS) to support long-term maintenance and construction works at the St Fergus Gas Terminal in Aberdeenshire. You will work within a delivery team, ensuring robust commercial management across live NTS assets and multi-disciplinary streams.

The role requires experience in gas transmission environments, NEC contracts, and strong cost-control skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in utilities, infrastructure or Oil & Gas with cost control focus.
• Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 ECC contracts.
• Gas Transmission / high-pressure pipeline environments experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage NEC contracts, change control, valuations and final accounts.
• Maintain commercial records, CVRs, forecasts and cost plans.
• Support live maintenance and construction works on NTS assets.
• Attend site meetings providing commercial guidance.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, measurement and payment applications.
