Job summary

Ex-Mill Recruitment Ltd seeks a Security Officer for a Central London role in Soho, offering a £40k salary plus benefits. You will monitor activity from the Operations Room, respond to CCTV and alarms, and escalate incidents as needed, working a rotating 3 days / 3 nights pattern with no accommodation provided.

This role requires a valid SIA licence and prior security experience, including control room operations or risk assessment. Strong reports and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence (CCTV/Public Space Surveillance, Door Supervisor or Close Protection).
• Experience in security, including control room operations or incident management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to produce accurate, concise reports.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with security systems.
• Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence (points may be considered).

Responsibilities

• Monitor security activity across client properties from the Operations Room.
• Triages security incidents and emerging risks.
• Respond to CCTV alerts and alarm activations.
• Assess situations quickly and take proportionate action.
• Escalate incidents to senior security or emergency services.
• Conduct internal and external security patrols.
• Identify vulnerabilities or suspicious activity.
• Carry out lock/unlock procedures.
• Prepare shift handovers and incident reports.
• Support security operations at other London locations.
• Develop skills through collaboration with experienced professionals.
