Type: FTE or Subcontractor

Mode: Hybrid, 3 Days on-site

Location: UK - Sheffield

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in designing and architecting Control M solutions, with a focus on strategic planning and roadmap development.
  • Deep technical expertise with Control M, including plugin integrations and automated testing frameworks.
  • Broad IT infrastructure knowledge, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity compliance and operational resilience.
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing organizational change within complex IT environments.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and implementing open telemetry.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline integration, and process automation.
  • Relevant certifications, e.g., BMC Certified Associate or Professional in Control M, 21x, or equivalent experience, are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive strategy: Develop a holistic end-to-end Control M strategy aligning vendor insights with business goals.
  • Roadmap development: Create and maintain a forward-looking product roadmap for 1-3 years.
  • Vendor collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with the Control M vendor, influencing their roadmap based on internal feedback.
  • Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder engagement: Work with various business and IT teams to gather and prioritize requirements.
  • Effective communication: Present and brief on Control M strategy, roadmap, and architecture to all levels.
  • Relationship management: Foster collaboration across departments to ensure successful initiative adoption.
  • Testing, observability, automation: Lead testing frameworks, monitoring system architecture, and automate critical operational processes.

Feature Innovation & Self-Service Enablement:

  • Identify and prioritize new features based on user and management feedback.
  • Develop self-service tools and automation solutions to improve user experience and compliance.
  • Define DevOps strategies, including CI/CD pipelines for Control M.
  • Establish a cybersecurity framework tailored to Control M environments, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
