About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Supervisor to join our team and support the delivery of Breedon’s DFI framework contracts across Northern Ireland.
This is a hands‑on operational role where you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day planning, coordination and supervision of surfacing and associated works. You’ll work closely with our Contracts Manager, site teams, subcontractors and wider operational functions to make sure works are delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality, on programme and within budget.
It’s a role with plenty of variety and responsibility. One day you could be planning upcoming works and coordinating labour, plant and materials; the next you may be resolving an issue on site, meeting with a client or reviewing contract performance with the wider team.
You’ll play an important role in keeping our contracts running smoothly from both an operational and commercial perspective.
Your responsibilities will include:
You’ll ideally have experience within surfacing, highways, road construction or road maintenance, along with a good understanding of how site‑based works are planned and delivered.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who have:
A third‑level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential. If you have strong, relevant industry experience, we’d be equally interested in hearing from you.
The kind of person who will thrive in this role
You’ll be someone who enjoys taking ownership and making things happen.
You’ll be comfortable working independently, managing changing priorities and balancing the needs of the customer with safety, quality, programme and commercial requirements.
Most importantly, you’ll be a strong communicator and team player who can build positive working relationships with site teams, customers, subcontractors and colleagues across the wider Breedon business.
If you have experience delivering surfacing or highways works and are ready to take on a role with real operational responsibility, we’d love to hear from you.
