Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking an experienced Contracts Supervisor to support the delivery of Breedon’s DFI framework contracts across Northern Ireland. This hands-on role covers day-to-day planning, coordination and supervision of surfacing and civils works, working with Contracts Manager, site teams, subcontractors and wider operations to deliver safely, on programme and within budget.

The role requires strong planning, organisational and communication skills, plus experience supervising site teams

Qualifications

• Two years’ supervisory experience in surfacing/highways/road construction/maintenance.
• Experience managing site-based teams and coordinating subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of materials, plant, specifications and construction methods.
• Strong health & safety and quality awareness in a construction environment.
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, programme and supervise day-to-day surfacing and civils works alongside the Contracts Manager.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, materials and other resources.
• Lead site-based teams and promote teamwork and clear communication.
• Ensure works are completed safely and in line with Breedon procedures, legislation and contract requirements.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and materials, and maintain records.
• Assist with monthly cost reviews, subcontractor payments and cost control.
• Liaise with customers/clients and represent Breedon at site and contract meetings.
• Work with colleagues across operations to support contract delivery.
