Job summary

Novus Property Solutions Limited is seeking a Contracts Supervisor based from our Basingstoke office, supervising site colleagues and subcontractors on social housing tenanted repairs and void works across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and surrounding areas. You will ensure H&S compliance, plan work, manage stock, liaise with helpdesk, and report progress to Contracts Manager.

SSSTS or SMSTS, DBS check, full UK driving licence and strong IT skills are required; we offer 39-hour weeks, 27

Qualifications

• Experience in Social Housing tenanted works (repairs/voids).
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• DBS check desirable and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site activities and trade/site personnel, including subcontractors.
• Ensure H&S regulations are followed with training, risk assessments and audits.
• Monitor progress, quality, and delivery of works against targets and budget.
• Liaise with helpdesk and commercial teams; provide site information for progress meetings.

Based: Basingstoke office - Site/Office based, sites situated around Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas typically Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week Great opportunity at Novus, become a crucial part to our team. With responsibility for the supervision of Trade site colleagues, including subcontractors, the role will ensure all site personnel carry out their designated tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the Health & Safety of their operational team, the Client, or the general public. Delivering works from scoping through to snagging and handover., An outline of your responsibility as a Contracts Supervisor

• Ensure the supervised site activities comply with H&S regulations, legislation and all staff follow Novus H&S policies and procedures through effective training, risk assessments and audits, record keeping, etc.
• Supporting on reducing Work in progress, through proactive planning, working closely with the helpdesk and efficient ordering of materials and equipment
• Monitor and identify H&S issues, resolve issues within the supervised team, and **escalate if applicable**
• Ensure quality delivery of works through daily/weekly auditing and supervision
• Provide regular and timely feedback on the progress of works against targets to relevant operational, helpdesk and commercial teams
• Taking accountability and overseeing correct installations of various works
• Monitor day to day customer relations
• Provide information on site activities to support Contracts Manager in progress meetings with clients and customers
• Assist Contracts Manager in managing staff in line with policies and procedures, such as recruitment, training, capability, disciplinary, talent development and succession; elevate issues accordingly and contribute to performance reviews The successful Contracts Supervisor will have strong experience in working in a tenanted environment within the Social Housing sector, ideally working on responsive repairs and Void works along with strong administration and organisational skills., SSSTS or SMSTS qualified
• HSE Three Day First Aid desirable
• Essential to have experience of Social Housing tenanted works ideally with responsive repairs
• Must be an enthusiastic self-starter with confident communications skills
• People Supervision and first line management experience desirable
• Trade background would be beneficial
• Good working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures.
• Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office and in house systems
• Must be flexible in hours of work and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
